Posted 6 years ago
The Hon. Kate Jones, Queensland Minister for Innovation and Tourism Industry Development and Minister for the Commonwealth Games announced today that Impact Innovation will co-deliver a new major initiative, the Female Founders Program.
This program will support Queensland’s female founders to grow and expand their business and access resources for skills development, training and mentoring.
Impact Innovation Group’s managing director, Brian Ruddle, said the company was very proud to have been selected to deliver this important program in supporting women across the state overcome barriers they face and achieve their goals.
“There are several inspirational groups and leading founders working in this space. Being awarded this opportunity to continue building and supporting their success is a major achievement for our hard-working team,” Mr Ruddle said.
“Collaboration will be the key to success with this program. We aim to connect female founders and entrepreneurs so they can access and engage with the right programs at the right stage of their venture; for their aspirations; and for their current and future capacity to benefit from such support.”
Impact Innovation Group’s Female Founders program lead, Kellie Dyer, is looking forward to bringing the operational elements of this program together.
“Helping female innovators, entrepreneurs and business owners achieve even greater outcomes through this program will be a major focus,” she said.
“There will be events across Queensland with online and technology-enabled options to support the many inspirational female founders who are not based in Brisbane.
“We will work with program participants to ensure we can connect with them regardless of their location.”
Following today’s announcement, Impact Innovation will bring together the operational elements of the program. More information will be available soon.
