Upskilling Universities in Indonesia
CSIRO engaged our expertise to support a program for helping privately run Indonesian universities transition to government-funded institutions, opening up more opportunities for research commercialisation.
Impact Innovation curated options for the participating universities to adopt as their commercialisation models.
We also designed and delivered a training program to address skills gaps and improve industry relationships for collaborative projects.
These universities have now adopted the models and practices taught, better positioning them for financial and reputational rewards for translational research.
The University of Jember in East Java, for example, has since jumped from 63rd to 23rd in university rankings
26 projects were completed within six months, including one of the largest global commercialisation deals from a university.
